Just one year into her WNBA career, Caitlin Clark already finds herself on her second head coach. Based on some of her recent social media activity, the young star likes the decision the Indiana Fever has made.
Two years into her tenure as coach of the Fever, Christie Sides found herself removed from the position earlier this month. When a big-name candidate hit the market, Indiana wasted no time securing her as the replacement.
Fresh off leading the Connecticut Sun on a deep playoff run, Stephanie White was also dismissed from her role as coach. She wasn't jobless long, as the Fever quickly swooped in and offered a deal. The move was made official on Friday, and Caitlin Clark seems excited.
White has been a coach in the WNBA since 2007 but got her first chance at a head coaching gig with the Fever in 2016. During her two-year run with the franchise, she posted a record of 37-31 in the regular season and 6-6 in the playoffs.
Now with the Fever again, White will be coaching one of the league's most promising young cores. Aside from Clark and her rise to superstardom, there are talented players like Kelsey Mitchell, Aliyah Boston and Lexie Hull on the roster.
Indiana is already knocking on the door of blossoming into a contender. They ended their playoff drought last season and should be a lock for the postseason for years to come.

Caitlin Clark's Instagram comment is far from the first time she has been elated for Stephanie White. Dating back to the start of last season, the Fever star had high praise for her now coach.
Aside from being a head coach, White has also served as an announcer over the years. During Clark's time at Iowa, she had the opportunity to call a handful of her games. Now, the two have a chance to work alongside each other at the pro level.
Before Caitlin Clark made her WNBA debut against the Connecticut Sun, she had the chance to speak with White during shootaround. When asked about the encounter later on, she had nothing but praise for her.
"I just think she had a really great basektball mind," Clark said. "I think she's always been someone who is supportive of my game and it's been fun to talk to her at shootarounds throughout my college career."
Based on how she's spoken about her in the past, White clearly has already won over her new star player. Now, she'll be tasked with helping Clark continue on her meteoric rise to the top tier of WNBA stars.
