"I need to block Alysha Clark": A'ja Wilson calls on fans for help after Aces teammate floods her with messages

It appears that blocking opposing players is not the only type of "blocking" A'ja Wilson is into. The Las Vegas Aces superstar called on her fans Saturday for some technical assistance as she attempted to block teammate Alysha Clark who has apparently been flooding her account with messages.

In a comical exchange on X, previously known as Twitter, Wilson put her foot down after one too many DMs from Clark. The Aces center joked that her teammate had "reached her limit" and asked her tech-savvy followers how a user can block an account on X.

"How can you block a person from sending you DMs cause I need to block @Alysha_Clark lmao she’s reached her limit," Wilson wrote.

Clark took the jab pretty well and had a wholesome response that included a string of laughing emojis for Wilson.

"This is CRAZYYYYYY I just want to share things with you," Clark replied.

Over the past two seasons in Las Vegas, Wilson and Clark have developed a close friendship.

The two veterans led the Aces to the franchise's second championship in 2023, defeating the New York Liberty 3-1 in the finals. A'ja Wilson, who averaged 23.8 points and 11.8 rebounds over the series, was named the finals MVP for the first time in her career.

The Las Vegas Aces have qualified for the playoff for a sixth straight year. A big reason for that is A'ja Wilson. The 6-foot-4 center has one again set the standard in the WNBA and it seems like a foregone conclusion that she will win her third MVP award in five seasons.

Wilson currently leads the league in scoring with a whopping 27.0 points per game. That is nearly a full five points more than the second ranked Arike Ogunbowale who is averaging 22.1 points per game. The 28-year-old also leads the WNBA in blocks (2.7), ranks second in rebounds (12.1) and fourth in steals (1.9).

If Wilson does go on to win the prestious MVP award, she would become only the fourth player in WNBA history to win the prize on three occasions. Sheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie and Lauren Jackson are the three other players to win the MVP award three times.
