Connor McCaffrey and Caitlin Clark both played collegiate basketball for Iowa. According to "People," the two Iowa alumni began dating in April, 2023.

Clark made their relationship public through an Instagram post in August 2023 with the following caption:

"Best end to summer," Clark wrote.

Connor McCaffrey played college basketball as a guard for Iowa from the 2017-18 to the 2022-23 season. During that time, he averaged 4.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists. His best season statistically was his final year, where he put up 6.5 ppg, 4.1 rpg and 1.3 steals, all career highs. He also averaged 3.7 assists.

McCaffrey is still involved in basketball. However, he is coaching instead of playing. McCaffrey joined the Indiana Pacers coaching staff in 2023. He reportedly helped the team in film study and in running the scout team. In September, McCaffrey was hired as an assistant coach for the Butler Men's Basketball team.
