Kelsey Mitchell Stats Tonight: Indiana Fever guard records another 20-point game in loss vs Las Vegas Aces

Indiana Fever veteran guard Kelsey Mitchell registered another 20-point game during the team's 78-74 loss against defending champions Las Vegas Aces at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Friday. Mitchell notched her 11th 20-point game since the WNBA season resumed following the 2024 Paris Olympics break.

The guard kept the Fever within reach as rookie Caitlin Clark struggled early, going scoreless in the first half. Meanwhile, Mitchell shone with 16 points on 57% shooting from the field, including 50% from 3-point range.

Mitchell hit eight of her 14 shots in the first half, knocking down three from beyond the arc, as Indiana trailed 43-35 at halftime.

The two-time WNBA All-Star had a quiet second half, going scoreless in the third quarter. However, Mitchell's lack of contribution went largely unnoticed as Caitlin Clark emerged from her slump, scoring 14 points in the period. Mitchell took just one shot in the third quarter.

The former Ohio State star scored her first point of the second half in the fourth quarter, making one of her two free throw attempts.

After a strong first half, where Mitchell took 14 shots, she surprisingly attempted just two shots in the second half, missing both. The veteran guard managed only one point after halftime as the Fever endured their fourth loss of the season against the defending champions.

Mitchell concluded the game with 20 points on 8-of-16 shooting, including 3-of-7 from beyond the arc. She converted one of two free throw attempts and added two rebounds, one steal and three turnovers to her stat line in 35:20 minutes.
