WNBA fans are anticipating a standout performance from Las Vegas Aces rookie Kate Martin on Thursday, as the defending champions face off against the Dallas Wings at Michelob ULTRA Arena in their final regular season game. With their playoff spot already secured, the fourth-seeded Aces are expected to rest four of their five starters ahead of the postseason.

A'ja Wilson, Chelsea Gray, Kelsey Plum, and Jackie Young are all listed as doubtful in the team's latest injury report, though the reason cited is rest, with no injury concerns for any of the players.

A group of fans was thrilled after seeing the Aces' injury report, as rookie Kate Martin is expected to see increased playing time with several star players likely sitting out the game:

Kate Martin's rookie season

Kate Martin has seen limited playing time during her rookie season with the Las Vegas Aces. With the defending champions boasting a roster full of standout players, Martin has primarily been confined to a bench role.

Martin has appeared in 33 of the 39 games for the Western Conference franchise this season. The former Iowa standout has started in one game while coming off the bench in the other 32.

She has played a total of 360 minutes and averages 10.9 minutes per game. The rookie is averaging 2.4 points per game on 32.1% shooting from the field, including 36.8% from 3-point range. She has also shot 87.5% from the free throw line.

Martin's best game of the season came against the LA Sparks on June 9 when she scored 13 points, collected four rebounds and dished out three assists. Overall, the rookie has recorded only two games with double-digit scores.
