"There's a lot of other s*** going on": Sheryl Swoopes hints at locker room issues, suggests 2 stars should leave Indiana Fever

Sheryl Swoopes dropped hints concerning the locker room issues at the Indiana Fever. The WNBA icon appeared on the latest episode of the former NBA player Gilbert Arenas' podcast, "Gil's Arena." Swoopes participated in a discussion concerning the Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark.

During one segment, she dropped hints about the locker room concerns at the fever camp and name-dropped two players she thought should consider a move.

"There is a lot of other s*** going on that players are like this ain't where I wanna be," Swoopes said. "You have players that are very significant on this Indiana Fever team who are like I don't wanna be here."

Sheryl Swoopes emphasized the influence of social media on players. She used Aliyah Boston as an example and said that when she was not playing great at the start of the season, she received a great amount of hate online, which even made her delete her socials.

The former WNBA player also name-dropped Kelsey Mitchell at the end of her speech, highlighting that a high-caliber player like Micthell can be worthy in any other franchise in the league.

Sheryl Swoopes believes Angel Reese may have exceeded more expectations than Caitlin Clark

During her time on the Gilbert Arenas show, Sheryl Swoopes expressed her opinion on the Angel Reese-Caitlin Clark debate. The WNBA Icon said that in her opinion, the Chicago Sky rookie had exceeded more expectations than the Indiana Fever rookie star.

"Since the Olympic break, I think Caitlin Clark has been a hell of a player every single game. To me Angel may have exceeded expectations even more so than Caitlin," Swoopes said.
"When you're drafted number one you're drafted number one for a reason... When you look at Angel drafted number 7, the expectations of people on her weren't the same."

Sheryl Swoopes mentioned that both players had different teams and although Clark played a significant role in helping the Fever make the playoffs for the first time since 2016, Reese and the Sky were a completely new team with a new coach.
