Unapologetic Angel Reese radiates confidence in reply to fan’s 'getting thick' comment

Angel Reese often takes time to talk to fans on and off the court, and when it comes to social media, the Chicago Sky forward isn't any different. Despite being out for the season, the No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft has remained close to her team, cheering for them from the sidelines.

In her most recent trip with the team to Gateway Center, Reese sported an all-blue outfit with a jacket and a skirt with grey shoes, which drew a lot of comments from fans.

"yall 👯‍♀️ gotta makeup 💩 to convince yourself that i’m not that bih!!" Reese captioned the post.

One fan wondered if someone is causing Reese to pick up weight, but she responded with confidence.

"@tyronefreeves i been thick boo but peace & happiness always enhances everything 😇," she commented.

Embracing the name of her podcast, Angel Reese has been unapologetically when expressing her opinions, regardless of the topic. Besides agreeing with this fan's comment, Reese explained a couple of months ago that she was one of the reasons why more people were watching the WNBA this year.

Even when things didn't go her team's way while she broke a WNBA record, she claimed she wasn't paying attention to personal records and just wanted her team to win.

Sheryl Swoopes says Angel Reese exceeded more expectations than Caitlin Clark

Angel Reese has found a lot of support during her rookie season, including from WNBA legend Sheryl Swoopes. The Houston Comets icon, who has been criticized for how she talks about Caitlin Clark, showered Reese with praise.

"Since the Olympic break, I think Caitlin Clark has been a hell of a player every single game. To me, Angel may have exceeded expectations even more so than Caitlin," Swoopes said.
"When you're drafted number one, you're drafted number one for a reason ... When you look at Angel drafted no. 7, the expectations of people on her weren't the same."

Reese's season was cut short at 34 games, averaging 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 39.1% from the field and recording 26 double-doubles.

As for Clark, she's averaging 19.5 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 8.4 apg and 1.3 spg while shooting 41.7% from the field, 34.1% from beyond the arc and 90.4% from the free-throw line. She has 14 double-doubles and two triple-doubles.
