Will Cameron Brink play in 2025 Unrivaled? Closer look after joining Napheesa Collier's roster

Cameron Brink is joining Unrivaled as the first wild-card spot in the league. The LA Sparks young star is coming to the Lunar Owls, but her debut will have to wait, as she continues recovering from a torn ACL.

While this is a terrific addition to the league co-founded by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, fans will have to wait one more season before seeing Brink taking the court with the Lunar Owls. The rookie forward signed a multi-year deal with the take, meaning she will make her debut in 2026.

Cameron Brink was selected as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. She would have probably gone No. 1 if not for Caitlin Clark, but it was clear that Brink was bound to make a big impact on the Sparks. Despite having her season cut short, the Stamford product was a menace on the defensive end of the ball, averaging 1.1 steals and 2.3 blocks per game.

A little over a month into the 2024 WNBA season, Brink, though, tore her ACL against the Connecticut Sun, which ended her season. The Sparks went 4-21 without the forward, finishing the season 8-32, but showing glimpses of what they could do in , especially with a fully healthy Cameron Brink.


Cameron Brink reveals Steph Curry helped her sign with Unrivaled

After a short but exciting 2024 WNBA season, Cameron Brink is recovering from her torn ACL. Her date of return remains unclear, but she's expected to be available at some point in the 2025 campaign. Speaking of her decision to join Unrivaled, Brink told PEOPLE that NBA superstar Steph Curry played a role in her decision to join the league.

"When the league was just forming, we did chat about it -- and yeah, I think Steph is in full support of it," Brink said. "He thinks it's a great idea and he knows I love 3-on-3 basketball."

She shared her excitement to be part of this intriguing project and work with people who will make her improve.

"I think it's just going to be a really cool opportunity," Brink said. "Iron sharpens iron, so while I'm there, I'll be able to train with people and work on my game. It'll be really a huge year of growth for me -- so, I'm really excited."

Brink has the tools to become a star in the WNBA and make an impact wherever she goes.
