"You keep getting FINE by TIME" - Angel Reese sends loving birthday message to Latto with special photo dump
WNBA star Angel Reese greeted musician and rapper Latto, aka Alyssa Michelle Stephens, on her 26th birthday on Sunday. The Chicago Sky forward shared her birthday message for the celebrity on Instagram.
Since her rise to basketball stardom, Reese has built strong connections with several notable figures. Among them is Latto, with whom Reese has developed a close friendship.
“Happy birthday to my BIG MAMA! Love you sis! Thank you for always loving & supporting me! You keep getting FINA by TIME!” Reese wrote.
Reese also shared Latto's IG post about her pregnancy.
“UGH CAN’T WAIT UNTIL TT BABY PLAYS BASKETBALL & A RAPPER.”
Latto has been active in the music scene since 2020, creating hit songs like "Big Energy" and "Herself." Her biggest hit song came after she collaborated with BTS' Jungkook in the song "Seven."
The musician is a two-time BET Award winner. She's also earned a BET Hip Hop Award in 2022 for the song "Big Energy."
Angel Reese had a playful banter with Latto following the rapper's post
In the 2024 WNBA season, Latto enjoyed attending one of Angel Reese's games. The rapper attended the Sky's regular season game vs. Atlanta Dream in September. The music icon wore an all-white outfit featuring a hoodie, a pair of shorts and white sunglasses for the game.
Latto also had a pair of silver boots that went well with her silver bag. She posted the events during the game on her Instagram.
In the comments section, Reese had some fun with the hitmaker.
"We know who you came to the game for🤭 fine afff,” Reese wrote.
That was the second time Latto got close to watch Reese and the Sky. The first time was during Chicago's season-opener against the Dallas Wings in May. On her way to support the former LSU forward, she told her fans that she knew nothing about the sport but went to the season-opener to support the former college star.
“We’re on our way to Angel Reese’s first basketball game,” Latto said. “Period. I don’t know s**t about basketball but I’m coming to support my b***h, the f**k. I’m gonna be on the sideline like, ‘Touchdown!’”
Reese finished with 12 points and eight rebounds in the Sky's season opener. The 6-foot-3 forward shot 35.0% from the field in the 87-79 loss.
