"You sure stinka?" - Angel Reese roasts online heckler after rare streak continues
Angel Reese is spending her offseason in Florida ahead of Unrivaled's inaugural season next month. Reese attended the Orlando Magic-Boston Celtics game on Monday at the Kia Center, extending her unlikely streak to 12 for home team wins when she's courtside. She also roasted an online troll for wrongly predicting a win for Celtics, the away team.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the Chicago Sky star found one troll online who claimed that her streak will be over. The Magic were barely expected to beat the defending champions since they were without Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner and Mo Wagner.
However, the Magic had other plans as they upset the Celtics to get the 108-104 win. Reese bragged about it by trolling the X user.
"You sure stinka???" Reese tweeted.
Home teams across sports are 12-0 if Angel Reese is attending the game. The streak began in October when Reese watched several NFL games. The LA Rams, Baltimore Ravens and Chicago Bears won their games with Reese cheering on the sidelines.
Reese was in Game 5 of the WNBA Finals held at the Barclays Center. She supported both teams, donning a custom jersey showing the New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx. However, it was the Liberty that won the game and the championship.
The Chicago Sky star's luck reached the NBA as teams such as the Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks also tasted wins. Monday's game was her second time supporting the Magic and the team won both times.
Angel Reese currently living in Miami to prepare for Unrivaled
After her season-ending wrist surgery in September, Angel Reese started her busy offseason with some commitments in California. Reese was also filming her podcasts while attending games.
The Rookie of the Year runner-up has been cleared to resume training ahead of Unrivaled's inaugural season on Jan. 17. It will be held in Miami, so she wanted to acclimatize herself and moved there this offseason, as revealed on Lonzo Ball's "What an Experience" podcast earlier this month.
"I'm making six figures, I'm living in Miami during my offseason," Reese said. "I'm playing 34 of some of the best WNBA players, being able to get better. Some of the best coaches, we got T-Spoon, we got Phil (Handy), we've got a lot of great coaches there. I'm excited to really dial in and get better. Obviously, the games are going to be cool and fun, but I just want to learn from the vets and stuff."
Reese will play for Rose BC and team up with her fellow WNBA players Chelsea Gray, Brittney Sykes, Kahleah Copper, Lexie Hull and Azura Stevens.
