In their only international friendly game before the Paris Olympics, the USA women's basketball team will go toe-to-toe against Germany on Tuesday. Team USA is gunning for their 10th gold medal at the Olympics and are one of the prime contenders to finish at the top of the podium in Paris.

The stakes are a little different for Germany, a country that will compete at the quadrennial competition for the first time. Germany booked their place in the Summer Olympics with sensational play during the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Belem, Brazil.

Germany doesn't shoulder the same weight of expectation as Team USA heading into the Olympics. The European nation is up for their biggest challenge yet when they face off against the basketball powerhouse.

Team USA has played just one game with the current roster that will feature in the Olympics. Before flying to London to take on Germany, Team USA squared off against Team WNBA in Saturday's All-Star game. Cheryl Reeve's team suffered a 109-116 loss.
