Tyler Bate is an English professional wrestler, who as of now is signed with the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Currently, Tyler works in the developmental brand of the WWE called the NXT. Tyler is the first NXT United Kingdom Champion. He is known and widely appreciated for his technical in-ring skills.
Before his journey in the WWE began, Tyler used to be a part of Preston City Wrestling, where he debuted as the Iron Master Tyler Bate in a fatal four-way match including Charlie Garrett, Rich Swann, and Zack Gibson. He was a part of a promotion named Chikara, he made his debut in a tag team match with Trent Seven, where they defeated The Hunter Brothers. In 2016, Tyler debuted in Progress Wrestling, where he faced William Eaver in a Natural Progression Series quarterfinal match. Tyler won the Progress Tag Team Championship with Trent Seven in a three-way tag team match. They lost their Tag team Championships at Chapter 50 when they were defeated by Chris Brookes and Kid Lykos.
He finally joined the WWE in 2016, He signed a developmental deal with them and was put on the roster of NXT UK. He made his debut in the 16-man tournament to crown the inaugural WWE United Kingdom Champion, where he faced and defeated Tucker in the first round. In the quarterfinals, he defeated Jordan Devlin, and in the semifinals he defeated Wolfgang. Tyler faced Pete Dunne (now known as Butch) in the Finals, where he defeated Pete to become the first-ever NXT UK Champion.
He made his official NXT debut in 2017, where he defeated Oney Lorcan. Tyler lost the NXT UK Championship to Pete Dunne at NXT TakeOver: Chicago. In 2021, Tyler won the NXT UK Tag Team Championship with his old tag team partner Trent Seven. However, they lost their championship in a triple-threat match featuring Ashton Smith and Oliver Carter, and Teoman and Rohan Raja. Tyler won his second NXT UK championship when he defeated his former tag team partner Trent Seven. He faced Bron Breakker the NXT champion at NXT Worlds Collide in a title unification match, where Tyler was defeated by Bron.
