Born on November 8, 1987, Kazuchika Okada, also known by his ring name オカダ・カズチカ, is a Japanese professional wrestler currently aligned with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as part of The Elite stable. Renowned for his remarkable 18-year stint in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), Okada clinched the IWGP Heavyweight Championship five times, holding the record for the longest reign at 720 days during his fourth tenure and securing a total of 12 successful title defenses.

Initially trained by Último Dragón, Kazuchika Okada made his wrestling debut in August 2004. After starting in Mexico, he returned to Japan and joined NJPW in mid-2007. Beginning as a junior heavyweight, Okada moved to the heavyweight division in April 2008 with limited success. Sent on a learning excursion to TNA in February 2010, he spent twenty months there before returning to NJPW in January 2012.

Repackaged as the "Rainmaker," Okada defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi to win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship a month later. Over the years, he won prestigious titles, including the G1 Climax tournament and the New Japan Cup. With multiple IWGP Heavyweight Championship reigns and numerous G1 Climax victories, Okada solidified his status as a dominant force in NJPW.

His legacy extends to becoming the first Japanese wrestler to top Pro Wrestling Illustrated's list of the top 500 wrestlers globally in 2017. Recognized as one of the greatest in the industry, he was named the most outstanding wrestler of the 2010s by readers of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter in March 2020. Okada's unforgettable match with Kenny Omega at Dominion 6.9 in Osaka-jo Hall in June 2018 is hailed as one of the greatest in wrestling history, earning a rare seven-star rating from journalist Dave Meltzer. He achieved another milestone by being inducted into the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame in 2021 during his inaugural year of eligibility.
