About New York Giants

The Giants were established in New York in 1925 and spent their first three decades at the Polo Grounds in upper Manhattan. Former owner Tim Mara paid $500 to buy the club, and his family continued to possess a stake in the organization far into the twenty-first century (in 1930 he split ownership between his two sons, Jack and Wellington). Despite losing their opening game 14-0 against the Frankford Yellow Jackets, the Giants rapidly established themselves as one of the best teams in the early years of professional football, taking home NFL titles in 1927, 1934, and 1938. The Giants made a name for themselves early on and under head coach Bill Parcells in the 1980s and 1990s, they dominated the league. The New York Giants have one of the highest number of Playoff appearances in the league. The Giants are one of the longest running sports teams in the United States and are often known as the ‘Big Blue Wrecking Crew’ owing to their formidable defensive unit in the 1980s and early 1990s.

New York Giants Roster 2023-24

The New York Giants have missed the NFL playoffs for the last 6 seasons although they have some formidable players on their roster. Let us take a look at the prominent players on the New York Gaints' roster who have the potential to make an impact in the upcoming NFL season. Running back Sauqon Barkley is one of the most potent attacking threats for the Giants and one of the biggest names on the roster. Joining him is quarterback Daniel Jones who is emerging as one of the most potent dual threat quarterbacks in the league. He’s deceptively fast and can make something out of nothing. Tackler Dexter Lawrence is a menace to opponents and on his way to become a legendary defensive player for the Giants.

Round 1 pick of the 2023 NFL Draft, cornerback Deonte Banks has the potential to be a starter for the Giants in the upcoming NFL seasons. Offensive lineman John Michael Schmitz and wide receiver Jalin Hyatt are two rookies who also have the potential to be important players for the Giants.
