England begin their title defence quest against fellow finalists of the previous edition in the World Cup 2023 tournament opener on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. England will then play against Bangladesh on October 10 and Afghanistan on October 15 in Dharamsala and Delhi respectively.

England face South Africa at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on October 21 before they meet Sri Lanka, one of the two qualified teams in the 10-team event, on October 26 in Bengaluru. The reigning champions of both T20 and ODI World Cup will take on host India at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on October 29.

The Jos Buttler-led side have another marquee game against Ashes rivals Australia on November 4 in Ahmedabad and they will play the Netherlands on November 8. England’s last match of the round-robin stage is scheduled against Pakistan on November 11 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
