When will the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup take place?
The 13th edition of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup will take place in India between October 05-November 19, 2023.
The finalists of the previous edition- England and New Zealand- will open the marquee event at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
How many teams will participate in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023?
Just like the 2019 event, this edition of the World Cup will be a 10-team affair.
India qualified automatically by virtue of being hosts, while the seven other teams- Australia, England, Pakistan, South Africa, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Afghanistan- booked their spot on the basis of the Super League rankings.
The remaining two spots have been taken by Sri Lanka and Netherlands following their top-2 finish in the World Cup Qualifiers.
What is the format of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023?
Ten teams will lock horns against each other once in a single league stage. The top-4 sides following the completion of 45 games will make it to the semi-finals.
The 1st semi-final will take place between Seed 01 & Seed 4 at the Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai) on November 15 while Seed 2 & Seed 4 will contest the 2nd semi-final at the Eden Gardens on November 16.
The final will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19.

How many venues will play host to the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023?
10 venues will stage the 13th edition of the World Cup.
They are: Ahmedbad, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Lucknow, Dharamsala, Delhi, Hyderabad & Bengaluru.
Mumbai and Kolkata will host the semi-finals while Ahmedabad will play host to the grand finale on November 19.

The World Cup 2023 is scheduled to start on October 5, with the defending champions England taking on New Zealand at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The same venue will also host the grand finale on November 19.
