AEW World’s End History
On October 25, 2023, it was reported that All Elite Wrestling had filed a trademark for World’s End as a PPV name. The same night, on Dynamite, AEW announced that the first edition of World’s End will take place on December 30, 2023. Since the inception of AEW, Full Gear has been its final pay-per-view event of the year. The event always takes place in the third week of November. Thus, so far, AEW did not have a PPV event in December. AEW World’s End was the first AEW PPV to take place in December and the first to take place in a year after Full Gear. The event was then made an annual affair.
