History

In 2012, these two sides met in the ICC World T20, with the Men in Maroon not only defeating New Zealand but also winning the event. So far, the Kiwis have won 6, the WI have won 3, while three other matches have been in ties in 13 T20I encounters between the two teams.

Their Test match rivalry dates back to 1952. In the following 68 years, these two clubs will play a total of 17 series. In the longer formats, their head-to-head stats are relatively similar, with the Kiwis leading the West Indies 7-6, with four series ending in draws. Format

The T20I leg of the West Indies vs New Zealand series will commence on August 10, 2022, at Sabina Park in Jamaica. The following two matches will be held on the 12th and 14th of August at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica.

Before the teams transfer from the shortest to the longest formats of the game, there will be only a two-day gap. The first One-Day International will begin on August 17 at Kensington Oval in Barbados. The second ODI, which will be the final game in the series, will begin on August 19 at Kensington Oval in Barbados. The third ODI, which will be the final game in the series, will begin on August 21 at Kensington Oval in Barbados.
