John Maxwell "Max" Homa is an American professional golfer who was born on November 19, 1990. He attended Valencia High School before enrolling at the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned All-America honors and won the 2013 NCAA Division I Championship. As an amateur, he represented Team USA at the 2013 Walker Cup. Homa turned professional in the latter year and secured his first win at the 2014 BMW Charity Pro-Am on the Web.com Tour, as per PGA's official website.
