Patrick Cantlay is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour. Patrick was born in Long Beach, California, on March 17, 1992. He was introduced to golf by his grandfather at a very young age. Patrick Cantlay was one of the best amateur players, he was the world’s number-one amateur player for consecutive 55 weeks. As a freshman in 2010-11, he won the Jack Nicklaus Award as the Division I Player of the Year by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), the Fred Haskins Award as the most outstanding male collegiate golfer, and the Golfweek Player of the Year.

Patrick turned professional in 2012 and achieved victory in various tournaments throughout his professional career. He won eight PGA Tour as of May, 2023, including the BMW Championship and Zurich Classic of New Orleans in 2022. Patrick has not won any major championship but his best results are T3 in PGA Championship and T9 in Masters Tournament in 2019. He also finished at T8 in the Open Championship and T14 in the US Open in 2022.
