Daniel Sams (Player of the match) - Just one of those days - Watch the ball and if it's in the zone, just go for it. At times, it works and on other days it doesn't. This surface is a bit slow today with some inconsistent bounce but not bad at all to play the shots. It's good to bounce back after being on the back foot
Texas Super Kings won by 3 wickets Milind Kumar 52(42) | Matthew Wade 49(30) Gerald Coetzee 4-31(4) | Haris Rauf 2-32(4)
What a way to seal the playoffs spot. Well, the odds were stacked against the Super Kings when they were at 92-5 but what happened aftermatch was some clean, big and monstrous ball striking from Daniel Sams. This is not an easy pitch to bat due to the slow nature and inconsistent bounce but Sams made a mockery of it by sending everything out of the ground. Milind had a slow start and he was just anchoring the innings until Sams' arrival at the crease. His innings gathered pace slowly and he scored a fighting half-century, much to the delight of the Texas fans at the stands.
The partnership between Sams and Milind turned out to be match-defining in the end. Roux did some magic with the ball inside the powerplay as he removed Faf for a duck to put the Super Kings on the back foot. Chetty's stay was short-lived too and despite Conway staying for a little longer, he didn't make much of an impact as he was striking just over 100.
With Miller and Santner departing cheaply, the Unicorns had the upper hand but they weren't ready for Sams' power-hitting carnival. He did the damage and his wicket turned this game wide open in the penultimate over but Calvin Savage smashed the maximum to reduce the tensions at Texas dug out before Coetzee finished things off in style
19.1 Liam Plunkett to Gerald Coetzee, FOUR! Texas Super Kings qualify for the playoffs. The Yellow flags are flying all over Morrisville. Short of a length and Coetzee punches it over the in-field on the off-side for a boundary
From bowling three dot balls in a row to getting rid of the dangerous Sams, Stoinis did all the hard work in that over to keep his team alive but that juicy full toss shattered all of Unicorns' hopes at the moment

18.6 Marcus Stoinis to Calvin Savage, SIX! THAT'S A MONSTER STRIKE! It's indeed savage. Juicy full toss, Savage stands deep in his crease and thumps it over deep mid-wicket for a maximum. The scores are tied
18.5 Marcus Stoinis to Gerald Coetzee, full toss outside off, dragged down to long-on for a single
18.4 Marcus Stoinis to Daniel Sams, OUT! GAME ON! Faf looks stunned at the dugout! Stoinis misses the yorker this time and Sams couldn't get underneath the properly. He heaves it towards the fielder stationed at cow corner and Tajinder Singh grabs it
18.3 Marcus Stoinis to Daniel Sams, wide yorker, Sams reaches for it and drives it down to point cover
