Tom Latham, the New Zealand skipper: A fantastic performance. Despite losing wickets early on, we were able to create partnerships with the bat, get to a par total, and the bowlers did an outstanding job. Blundell and Nicholls worked together brilliantly. That dying phase, especially with the right-left combo, can be a little tough. It was incredible how our bowlers were able to apply pressure and take wickets. We knew it was going to be tough here, and (the circumstances) come as no surprise to us; there's still a little gas left in the tank, which is a good indication for us.
Ajaz Patel, the Player of the Match: You thrive in these conditions and you accept the responsibility that comes with it, and I thought all of our bowlers bowled wonderfully and did a fantastic job gaining wickets. Rachin bowled wonderfully, and we were able to communicate effectively, and our seamers performed admirably in difficult conditions. I had a chat with Daniel Vettori today, and he offered me some insight into the situation here and how the conditions would play out.
Mahmudullah, the Bangladeshi skipper: Bowlers did an excellent job of restricting them to 128. We got off to a good start with the bat but couldn't capitalise and lost a flurry of wickets; perhaps, we'll bounce back strong in the next game. We are missing out on building partnerships and need to improve on that. The middle-order has been hitting well, and the top order did a terrific job last game and today as well. There are still two games left, and we want to win the next one to wrap up the series.

That'll be it! New Zealand win this tie comprehensively by 52 runs. After two consecutive defeats, they have bounced back strongly and won this tie by a huge margin. Bangladesh have been outplayed in all three departments of the game today and there will be very few positives for them from this match. They have also equalled their second-lowest total in T20 cricket of 76 runs. New Zealand spinners stuck to their task today and outspun the hosts and hand them over a taste of their own medicine.
Chasing 129 on this surface was never going to be easy but Bangladesh had a decent start in the powerplay with 25 runs on the board in almost no time. That's when Cole McConachie drew the first blood as Liton Das departed after scoring only 15 runs. The next over saw Shakib Al Hasan and Mahedi Hasan getting out to Ajaz Patel in an uncharacteristic manner and turned the tie around by the end of the powerplay.
The wickets kept falling in quick intervals from there as the Kiwi spinners created havoc on a raging turner wicket. Mushfiqur Rahim started running out of partners very quickly from one end. He then eventually just ended up surviving and finished off with an unbeaten 20 off 37 deliveries. No other batsman barring the openers managed to score in double digits.
The fielding was also incredible from New Zealand. They did not drop any catches nor did they leak runs through misfields or misjudges. Some mind-blowing catches were taken in the course of the second innings which was also another major factor separating the two sides.
