Karun Nair (Mysuru Warriors captain): It was important for us to go out there and continue what we're doing as a batting group. CA Karthik really stood up today and he finished well despite losing a few wickets. Suchith also did really well with the bat. We've always spoken about giving the lower order a platform to capitalize at the backend of the innings when there is pressure on the bowlers. Today, they showed their class. It was just instinct. I've played with Mayank since we were 8 years old, so I know the areas he likes. The credit goes to the bowlers because they're the ones executing the plans. We took some time at the start of the tournament but we're understanding each other a lot more more. We're learning, which is great to see. Really happy as a team and hoping everyone can keep chipping in.

The second innings could not have got off to a worse start for Bengaluru Blasters as they lost the first 3 wickets for only 22 runs in 3.5 overs. At that stage, it felt as though a collapse is on the cards and a quick finish too!

But, then came a solid 54-run stand between Jeswanth Acharya and Suraj Ahuja that threatened the Mysore Warriors just that wee bit. There was the wicket of Jeswanth off a no-ball too that got many people thinking that a comeback of substance is around the corner. But, with the controversial dismissal of Suraj in the 10th over, things started to take another downward turn for the home side. They lost another wicket in the next over and looked in a real spot of bother.

Unfortunately, the match could not finish after the first ball of the 12th over as it began to rain and continued until the cut off time elapsed. Bengaluru Blasters, as expected, were short of the VJD target and in the end, lost their fifth consecutive match. On the contrary, Mysore have registered their 3rd straight win after losing two on the bounce.
