Bucharest Zalmi began their chase on the perfect note - Talha Ansari went on the attack as Jass Saini took a backseat. Ansari's onslaught helped the Zalmi end the powerplay with a run rate of exactly 14, and they looked dead set favourites at the time. Zalmi's momentum was hindered right after the end of the powerplay, though - Harman Harman came into the attack, did for Saini first before Ansari suffered a dodgy call from the umpire in the same over.

Atif Naqvi and Abdur Rahman kept the fight on going into the slog overs - Naqvi, with a bad back, found the boundaries on quite a few occasions alongside Rahman. It was in the last four overs that the tide shifted - Taha Lodhi went for a mere four runs in the 7th, taking some wind out of the chase. 7 came off the next, 8 off the penultimate as Rahman swung and missed far too often before perishing in the 9th. Transylvania closed the game out with ease after that.
