That's that from Bala and myself, Habil, and we hope you've enjoyed our coverage just as much as we've enjoyed bringing it to you. Some win for England in the end! You’d have hardly given them a chance with 197 on the board. Even less so when Suzie Bates got the White Ferns off to a flyer. That changed ever so slightly when Cross got Bates out in her first over.

And that seemed to be the theme for the day after that, with four New Zealand players getting starts but none being able to convert those starts into anything meaningful. One would have suspected the game would end this way when one of those four players, skipper Sophie Devine, was dismissed.

Several performances played a role in helping England eke out a win that looked so close to impossible at one point. Firstly, that 10th wicket partnership between Tash Farrant and Player of the Match Danni Wyatt, who scored her first ODI fifty on home soil. Farrant showed off her capabilities with the bat before she was dismissed for a well-made 22 in the end.

Then Kate Cross came in with some important breakthroughs early in her spell. But the player that probably had the most memorable night of the lot would be 20-year-old Charlie Dean, who turned her game, and the match itself, on its head with 4 wickets post the rain interruption.

It’s England who run out winners then. They come away with an improbable 13-run win by DLS. They also take a 2-0 lead in the 5-match series, leaving the visitors with a must-win fixture in Leicester on Tuesday. It will be interesting to see how New Zealand respond to a win like this but do join us in a couple of days for all the action from the third ODI.

Player of the match, Danni Wyatt: I was really pleased with the win. Charlie Dean was exceptional with the ball, happy for her. I had about 25 overs to bat there, and I was happy to do the job. I went and gave her (Winfield-Hill) a hug and said I was really sorry.

Heather Knight: Danni was brilliant with the bat today, and Tash Farrant play a good hand. We need to be slightly better but we're glad to have the win. Really tough for Danni. Some sort of performance from her but top work to get us to a decent total. In tournament cricket, it is those tough games that you need to win. You get confidence from those. They're the worst to lose and best to win.

Sophie Devine: We're extremely disappointed. We thought we did well to bowl England out. We're extremely disappointed since rain break or not, we back ourselves to win. We dust ourselves and pick ourselves up. You've got to give credit to them (English lower-order batters). We've got to go back to the drawing board and go again on Tuesday. We've got to find a way to do it (win). We've got all the players we need, we just need to tip it over the line.

England win by 13 runs (DLS)

That's that for New Zealand! The hosts come away with a victory to take a 2-0 lead in the ODI series. It was all England after the rain interruption and they have managed to turn the game around and sniff out a victory when it looked close to impossible.
