Shafali Verma, India captain: The wicket wasn't as good to bat as it was in the previous two games, the ball was stopping before coming onto the bat, but we thought we'd back our shots. We wanted to give everyone confidence and give them a go.

Katherine Fraser, Scotland captain: It was exciting at the start, but we could not hold the innings together. It's about managing the pressure and the situation, we haven't played together much as a team, and the more we play the better we get.

Mannat Kashyap is the Player of the Match, here is what she has to say: Yes I enjoyed a lot, there was turn and I enjoyed that. Not like India but turn was really there, more than I thought. The staff and team kept confidence in me which helped me.

What started off as something special ended with a whimper for Scotland. They were off the blocks in some fashion, tonking the medium pace of Titas Sadhu and Yashasri Soppadhandhi. 23 runs came off the opening three overs, but then, the left-arm spin of Mannat Kashyap brought along the end of the opening stand. Kashyap kept it wide outside the off stump, enticed the batter to go after her, and accounted for Ailsa Lister.

While Darcey Carter continued in her merry way, Emma Walsingham failed to give her company for long, falling to a rather tame stroke off Kashyap in her second over. Once Archana Devi accounted for Carter in her opening over, the wheels started to fall off for Scotland. The Indian spinners then went on to pick up a wicket in every single over, with Sonam Yadav joining in on the party after Mannat Kashyap ended her spell with 4 wickets in exchange of 12 runs. Yadav picked up the final wicket just after the drinks break, and India had their third group stage win in this World Cup.

It's a sorry end to what was a promising start to the chase for the Scots! The Indian spinners have done the job with so much ease eventually!
