Harmanpreet Kaur (Indian Captain): Feeling great, Before starting we were talking about what we can do and how we can win the match. Every one was looking for the win and it is a such a wonderful feeling after winning the match. I think it was important for us to execute the plans. We were looking to do that exactly. It was a great one for us. We had the plans in place and were playing as per the demand of the situation. Well, it was more important to win the match that getting my half-century. All of them were brilliant including Pooja and congratulations to each and everyone of them. Thak you so much.

Deepti Sharma (Player of the match): Honestly, I feel great. This was the day we were waiting for. The test matches have started and that is a great feeling. I bowled as per the plans and that worked out. While batting, I tried to keep my composure and batted to build partnerships. No, I just waited for my turn and kept myself warmed up. We will look to to do the same in the next match and pick up another positive result.

Heather Knight (England Women captain): I think India played outstandingly! A lot of credit needs to be given to their batters in the first innings. They got the measure of both defense and attack and the bowling was just spectacular. The conditions were pretty different for us, but, India I think bowled much better today to be honest. We have a lot to learn from this Test match which will help going forward in these conditions. Charlie Dean and Lauren Bell were impressive I must say. They bowled well and got most things right even after struggling initially. This experience of playing in India is just brilliant! Hope we get to play more games, especially Test matches here.

Amol Muzumdar, India Women head coach: The girls played really well and the effort they put in sweetens the victory! The preparations were nice and even though no Test win is easy, we were able to get this done and dusted quite convincingly. We did not necessarily plan for 400 on Day 1 but the way things panned out, we just kept on with the flow of runs and did not stop. Well, England is a top side! There is no doubt about it, and for the youngsters to a taste of beating them in this format is just spectacular for them. Deepti Sharma is called the Ben Stokes of the team. Be it with the bat or with the ball, she just keep providing with match-winning performances! Australia will be a challenge for sure next week, but, I'm pretty sure that we will be up for it.

So that is a huge win for India. They have managed to grab up the biggest ever win by runs in the history of Women's Test.

To start with Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and opted to bat first. All the Indian batters looked good with the bat and there were contributions throughout the line-up. However, Satheesh Shubha was the highest scorer for the team scoring 69 runs from 76 balls. India posted a mammoth total of 428 runs in the innings. The pick of the bowlers for England in the innings as Lauren Bell who picked up three wicket for 67 runs from 19 overs.

While England came out to bat, they looked at sea against a disciplined Indian bowling. Wickets kept tumbling for England and Nat Sciver-Brunt was the only player who showed a bit of resilience. She scored 59 runs from 70 deliveries and was the highest scorer for England. Deepti Sharma bowled a magical spell, where she picked up five wickets for seven runs from 5.3 overs. Her spell helped India skittle England for 136 runs in the first innings and get a lead of 292 runs.

While India had a chance to enforce the follow-on, Harmanpreet Kaur decided to bat again. In tehe second innings, Harmanpreet emerged as the highest run scorer as she remained unbeaten on 44 runs from 67 balls. Charlie Dean bowled a good spell picking up four wickets for 68 runs from her 19 overs. India declared the innings overnight on day 2 and came out on the third day with the task of defending 478 runs.

Things started rather steadily for England on day 3. For the first 27 minutes, they did not lose a wicket and had put on 28 runs on the board. But the introduction of Pooja Vastrakar into the attack initiated a landslide. She picked up two back to back wickets and one of those was that of Nat Sciver-Brunt for a golden duck.

After this, Deepti Sharma joined Vastrakar and got England looking down the barrel once more. Wickets tumbling one after another and soon a huge win was on the cards for the Indian team. In the end, England were bundled out for 131 runs and India emerged the winners by a massive margin of 347 runs. The margin of victory now stands as the highest ever by runs in Women's Test. The star with the ball in the second innings was once more Deepti Sharma as she picked up four wickets for 32 runs in her eight overs.

27.3 Rajeshwari Gayakwad to Lauren Bell, THAT IS THE TEST MATCH TO INDIA WOMEN! Good length slower ball on off-stump that turns a bit and bounces. Bell prods forward and looks to defend. But, it catches the splice of the bat and goes down to silly point in the air. The fielder reacts quickly and takes a sharp catch to finish proceedings!
