MATCH SUMMARY
Lisbon Capitals won by 8 wickets
Amir Dar 38(11) | Amir Dar 2/15(2) Amandeep Singh 45(21) | Amandeep Singh 1/15(2)
So, the bragging rights in the Lisbon derby goes to the Lisbon Capitals who have cruised through to the target of 113 which was set by the Lisbon Super Giants.
Amir Dar got them off to a blazing start with a 32-run second over and from there onwards it was always going to be one team that was going to win this encounter. Dar got out in the third over but the second wicket partnership of 55 runs between Danish and Narinder sealed the game for the Capitals with the latter finishing off the match in style with back to back sixes.
Lisbon Super Giants only have themselves to blame for this loss. They put up an absolute horror show in the field dropping several regulation catches and when you do that defending a modest total, you almost shoot yourselves in the foot. The bowling was very wayward with 15 wides being bowled.
Earlier, Super Giants' openers Amandeep Singh And Hardikkumar got them to 112 with crucial 40s but the lack of a finishing kick meant that they finished a few short of where they would have liked to be.
8.4 Harinder Singh to Narinder Rana, SIX RUNS! VICTORY TO LISBON CAPITALS! Good length ball around off-stump. Clobbered again from deep in the crease well over cow corner for half-a-dozen!
This blow should deal the game for the Capitals, 2 needed off 9
8.3 Harinder Singh to Narinder Rana, SIX RUNS! Length ball around off-stump. Thumped over long-off from deep in the crease for a maximum!
8.2 Harinder Singh to Narinder Rana, Oh! Short around off-stump. A swing and a miss on the back foot with the slog across the line!
8.1 Harinder Singh to Samarth Patel, short and wide outside off-stump. Nicely slapped down to deep cover point off the back foot for one.
Harinder Singh [1.0-0-32-0] is back into the attack.
OHH LISBON SUPER GIANST WHAT ARE YOU DOING?? This has been a shocking fielding display, can not even remember how many catchjes have been dropped
