Switzerland 161/0 in 8 overs Idrees Haque 90*(30) Hassan Ahmed 63*(29)
We've had history here as the Swiss have chased down 157 and have made the record for the highest successful run chase in the ECC history. 8 overs was all it took them to nail down this target and they got home comfortably in the end with all their 10 wickets intact.
Idrees and Haque and Hassan Ahmed unleashed absolute carnage here at the Cartama Oval as they went after the bowling right from the word go and hammered the bowlers left, right and centre. Hassan Ahmed was slightly slow in the beginning but he whacked six SIXES in one over and picked up 37 runs of one over. It was the highest over the match and he etched his name in the record books again.
The Malta bowlers struggled as Idrees Haque played an innings of the highest quality. He was threatening to score a hundred but missed out by just 10 runs in the end. All the bowlers travelled the journey and none got a wicket. There were a couple of drop of catches by the keeper and it didn't help their cause. Fanyan Mughal and Waseem Abbas the two star bowlers had a really bad day in the middle.
