That's all from us then! We hope you enjoyed our coverage of this Maharaja T20 trophy between the Hubli Tigers and the Mangalore Dragons. For now, it's Soumarya Dutta taking your leave on behalf of Sooryanarayan Sesha. Buh-bye and see you soon!
Manish Pandey (Hubli Tigers captain): Fingers crossed, everything's going well so far. The players, whatever they spoke about yesterday, they almost executed everything. The support staff has been working very hard in terms of meetings and small details. And the guys have been turning up to give everything for the team's win. (On promoting himself to number 4) Obviously 10 overs down (at the time) and I've not batted myself in the tournament. Wanted to look at the wicket and see how it goes. I got a few loose balls initially and capitalized on that. Happy to get some runs under my belt. (On the move to retire Naga Bharath out for Praveen Dubey) We have three guys (Vinay Kumar, Mansur Ali Khan and Yere Goud) in the dugout taking the calls and I'm so glad we have those legends in our team. It was their call and it paid off. We talk about the things that don't go well. Every game we have plusses and minuses and we talk about them and ensure we don't repeat those mistakes again.
Praveen Dubey is the Player of the Match for his outstanding all-round display.
Four wins in a row now for the Hubli Tigers and this one has been a comprehensive performance from them. They've thoroughly outclassed the Dragons and they've notched up a victory by a massive margin of 63 runs. The Dragons started off the chase in flying fashion as they got past 60 in the powerplay with the pair of Sharath and Shivakumar going hammer and tongs in the powerplay.
However, once they were dismissed in quick succession, the wheels came off for the batting lineup and they collapsed in really quick time. Most of the batters threw away their wickets against the spinners. Towards the end, KV Siddharth and Dheeraj Gowda put on a decent partnership and it helped them to save the blushes and bat out the 20 overs.
The seamers of the Tigers were taken to the cleaners early on but the spinners came to the party big time and managed to spin a web around the Dragons. The trio of D'mello , Dubey and Cariappa snared 6 wickets between themselves and barely conceded anything in their twelve overs.
They ran through the batting line up in the middle overs as D'Mello picked up three vital wickets. Dubey and Cariappa backed him up well as they chipped in with some key wickets and also kept things tight, Overall, it has been another incredible effort from the Tigers and they're rightfully at the top of the table at the moment.
