Smiles all around as the Hurricanes reigned supreme with minimum fuss. They were clinical with the ball and restricted the opposition to a paltry score and batting on this wicket seemed to be challenging but the Hurricanes approached the run chase smartly. They played risk free cricket as Villani batted through, while Nicola Carey stood with her until the end.

Matthews won the battle with Lee and Smith struggled a lot during her stay, so her wicket turned out to be a blessing in disguise for the Hurricanes. Carey and Villani played sensible cricket and didn't allow the Renegades to take any control throughout. With this win, the Hurricanes stay in the mix for the playoffs, while the Renegades can't deliver the goods after their nail-biting win against the Heat
