The first wicket partnership of 101 runs in 6 overs sealed the deal for Hornchurch! Both George Hankins and Billy Gordon played the cards beautifully and answered all the questions that the Wimbledon bowlers asked of them. And even though a couple of wickets fell in one over after that, the batting had enough in the tank to take the side home and into the final!

Oliver Pike was the only bowler to taste some success but that came in his second over after he was taken for 15 runs in his and the innings' first. Fielding and discipline was not at its best from Wimbledon and they will have to sort that out quickly enough in the second qualifier now.
