Nida Dar (Pakistan captain): A lot of positives out of it. We bowled very well and started off well with the bat. They always try to help, we have a new connection and develop new strategies. Every coach has a different department and each one of them is doing it to their best. They (Gull Feroza and Muneeba Ali Siddique) started off really well and this helps us take a lot of momentum ahead into the tournament.
Gull Feroza is the Player of the Match! Here's what she has to say: Feeling good, memorable day for me as I have an international fifty in my name. Happy that I contributed to my team, we've picked up some momentum, hopefully we can carry on. It's my natural game, I always try to be aggressive, it's always good for the team and try to be positive. I think cover the drive felt good. First player of the match, I want to dedicate it to my parents.
Indu Barma (Nepal captain): We tried our best to play good cricket, but Pakistan were just too good. We couldn't execute our plans, it's fine as we're still learning. Definitely disappointed, our two good players, who could make more runs and that was the turning point and couldn't get to where we wanted to. I'm happy, they are the young players, they are the future of Nepal cricket team. We're looking forward to play against India.
This has been a dominant display from Pakistan across all departments. They weren't clinical with the way they bowled and batted but they have managed to make up for it in the batting. They will want to keep this performance going and ensure they similarly win the game against UAE.
Both Muneeba Ali and Gull Feroza started off well. Gull Feroza batted for the majority of the powerplay and ensured that Pakistan were always matching the required rate. Muneeba Ali joined in on the act late but picked up pace as the middle overs phase went on. They didn't break a sweat as they registered a 100-run stand. Gull Feroza lost her wicket when all was said and done but Muneeba ended the chase with a boundary, winning by 9 wickets.
Nepal will regroup and learn from their experiences. Rubina Chhetry and Indu Barma were their best bowlers and they will share their two cents to help the other bowlers in the group. Kabita Joshi picked up a wicket and the Nepal outfit would have hoped that it had come a few overs earlier. They will also want to work on their fielding as they look to take India come 23rd July.
11.5 Kabita Joshi to Muneeba Ali, FOUR! PAKISTAN WIN THIS EMPHATICALLY! Pakistan bounce back and how after a crushing defeat against India. This has been a comprehensive of sorts and this is a confidence booster but they still need to win against UAE in their next game. Floated a length delivery on the stumps, Muneeba launches it straight down the ground, gets stuck in the turf but had enough legs to run away to seal the game.
11.4 Kabita Joshi to Tuba Hassan, OH! Spears a length delivery, drifts in on the stumps. Tuba punched it down the ground to long-on for an easy single. Just three needed now!
11.3 Kabita Joshi to Tuba Hassan, low full toss on the pads, Tuba clipped off her toes but straight to backward square-leg and Tuba was sent back in time.
Sidra Amin, RHB, walks out to the middle and will be on strike to face her first delivery
11.2 Kabita Joshi to Gull Feroza, OUT! CUTS IT STRAIGHT TO BACKWARD POINT AND GONE! It's not going to be a ten wicket win for Pakistan as Feroza makes her way back. Short and wide, Feroza couldn't keep the cut down, went straight to Kunwar who takes a sharp catch as that was traveling.
