Chasing a target of 158 was always going to be difficult for a batting side like Croatia, but, they will be disappointed at not having reached three figures.

Romania bowled really well right through the innings in these fine batting conditions to restrict the score to only 88 and pick up 9 wickets. Four of the six bowlers used went at under 8.00 RPO.

Left-arm spinner Rajith Perera, who went for 30 runs in his first over, was brought back to bowl the last over by his captain and he made up for it with 3 wickets, giving away only 6 runs! That was great man-management from skipper Ramesh Satheesan.

Only two batters reached double figures for Croatia. They have a lot of work to do against pace bowling and most definitely in their fielding.
