So that brings us to the end of our coverage for this CPL encounter. St Lucia Kings managing to defend a below par score and wins it in the end. Faf du Plessis (St Lucia Kings captain): Really proud of the effort. Eas surprised to see the spin on the surface. We could have been better with the bat. The innings of Wiese gave us the feeling that we had something and then brilliant bowling in the powerplay. All the spinners were brilliant. I thought we could have pushed them a bit more. Our spinners were excellent. Yeah it's been great to be here. Obviously when you come home you want to put up some performances for the fan. It wouldn't have been nice to walk away with a loss from here.

Chris Green (Antigua and Barbuda Falcons captain): Yeah even with the hitting towards the end, I felt they were below par. We walked out confident but we had too many soft wickets. Our bowlers had to work hard to get the wickets while we played some poor shots. We can take some confidence from the bowling performance. We haven't played to our potential. Too many soft dismissal and poor bowling occasions have let us down. We have an element of pride to play for. Two more games and who knows what happens. Everyone here is a professional and have to showcase what we can do as individuals. We have to win both games against two strong sides but I believe we can do it.

Khary Pierre is the Player of the Match, here is what he had to say: First and foremost thanks to God to get the opportunity today. I am just happy that I could get my team over the line. I am happy with my performance. As a professional, you always have to be ready. I back my abilities whenever I get an opportunity. Thanks to the St Lucia crowd, I am so happy. Variation is the key for me. Carry and trying to turn the ball is my mantra. Yeah most definitely we can win this tournament. Everyone backs each other and that helps massively.

That’s a sensational bowling performance from the St Lucia Kings as they managed to defend a below par score of 152 and ended up winning by a big margin of 26 runs. At the halfway stage, the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons were well on top but what transpired right from the outset was something sensational. Kofi James and Justin Greaves came out to open the innings.

James in particular began in an aggressive manner and smashed a four and a six to race off to 11. Greaves took his time at the other end. James was dismissed by Khary Pierre in his very first over. Sam Billings struck an impressive straight punch off Alzarri Joseph to get his innings going. However it was Pierre again who continued to weave his magic and bagged the wickets of Billings and Hamilton on back to back deliveries.

The next casualty was Justin Greaves as he was castled by a quicker one from Noor Ahmad. Imad Wasim tried to utilize the final over of the powerplay but ended up slicing it straight down the throat of the mid off fielder. At 28/5, the Falcons were staring down the barrel and ran the risk of getting bowled out for a score under 100. It was a solid partnership between Shamar Springer and Chris Green which just ignited the hopes of the Falcons.

However the required rate was a bit too much for their linking. A 60 run partnership came in 52 deliveries and when Springer was dismissed, it looked all but over. Green smashed a few lusty blows to give them a chance but his departure in the 18th over off Noor Ahmad was the final nail in the coffin.

Roshon Primus remained unbeaten on 17 off 10 deliveries as the Falcons finished on 126/8. Kharry Pierre was the pick of the bowlers for the St Lucia Kings, finishing with figures of 3/24 in his 4 overs. Meanwhile Noor Ahmad also chipped in a couple while Alzaddi Joseph and Roston Chase bagged a wicket each.
