This has been an incredible victory for the Spanish Women here! They put up a massive total on the board and then came back with an excellent bowling effort to keep down Malta to just 29. The Malta Women struggled with the bat from the very beginning and never really got going. There was only 1 boundary in the whole innings which came from the bat of Prativa Bhandari, in the form of an outside edge. None of the batters made it to double figures with extras being the highest at 21.

Most of the bowlers had an excellent day with the ball for Spain and they managed to have 4 maiden overs among themselves! Payel Chillonga was the pick of the bowlers as she bowled two maidens out of her two overs. Amy Brown also chipped in with two wickets as did the others. In the end, 94 was too big a mountain for Malta to climb and they made a meek surrender. Overall, a great victory for Spain and they will be heading into their next game against Austria with a lot of confidence from this game.
