That's all that we have for you from this contest. Three more ECS matches to come - keep an eye on our tabs for our coverage of them. This is Rajarshi Das, signing off on behalf of Pragadeesh Shanmugan. See you later!
They left it for far too late, and even though Tyagi struck a few off the middle of the blade, the Spartans fell short of the mark. This sure has been an excellent performance with the ball and on the field from the Barbarians - they had very little to play with, and thanks to a well-applied squeeze from their slower bowlers in the middle overs, they managed to pull it off.
Tripurari Lal's two over-spell turned the game towards the Barbarians. The slingy-armed bowler mixed his lengths, kept it wide of the batters' arc, and gave next to nothing away in those two overs of his. Jobin Dominic was out there for quite a while, he was looking good momentarily, but once he ran himself out rather foolishly, the Spartans' chase fell off.

9.5 Arun Ajimon to Riaz Ahmad, OH! Back of a length, Riaz is on charge and tries to swing across the line but can't get on top of the bounce. The keeper comes up with an under arm throw to inflict a direct hit but misses it

9.3 Arun Ajimon to Neeraj Tyagi, moves across the line and heaves the length delivery and gets an inside edge into the track
9.2 Arun Ajimon to Neeraj Tyagi, SIX! Shuffles across the line and bludgeons the length delivery over deep mid-wicket for a maximum
9.1 Arun Ajimon to Riaz Ahmad, skips down the track and heaves the length delivery to deep mid-wicket for one
He took three wickets with the ball earlier - can Neeraj Tyagi get the Spartans through from right under the Barbarians' noses?
