Ashton Agar is the Player of the Match for his stunning returns of 2/6 off four overs. Here's what he has to say: (When did he know it was going to turn today?) Second ball (laughs). I bowled that ball to Cam Bancroft. It looked like it was going to turn to be honest but you bowl a fast side-spin and see. When that turns you know what's going to happen. Bowling left-arm off-spin out there spinning away from the bat is the hardest ball to hit. So I didn't have to do much out there in the Power Surge and just had to leave it to the pitch. Our quicks adjusted nicely as well at the back end. They're so good to get. When you don't get a conventional wicket and get a run out it's a beautiful feeling and there were some pretty good players we got run out. We've felt good the whole time if I'm being honest. We try our best, stick to our plans and move on quickly. We don't dwell much on wins or losses.

Perth Scorchers beat Sydney Thunder by 7 wickets!

Despite the surface being a little challenging to bat upon, Perth Scorchers managed to chase the total set to them by the Sydney Thunder quite comfortably in the end.

The Scorchers seemed to hit a rut in the middle stages of the game, but Josh Inglis and Zak Crawley made sure that they did not have anything to worry about.

Crawley batted beautifully- he scored a half-century- but once he got out, things seemed to get tough for the visitors. Skipper Aaron Hardie too had got out a while ago.

However, Inglis, accompanied by Laurie Evans, took the Scorchers across the finish line and did so with more than an over to spare. The Thunder will be extremely disappointed with themselves for not having pulled off a win at home, but they can take a lot of lessons from this one.

Skipper Chris Green missed a trick by allowing his seamers to keep bowling on a pitch doing little for them, and that is where the Scorchers took the game away from them. At any rate, they had far too few runs on the board for their liking.

Inglis' coming to the crease made things look far too easy for the Scorchers!

19.1 Chris Green to Laurie Evans, FOUR! DONE AND DUSTED! Drags it short at the stumps as Evans hops aside to free his arms. He picks the length and twirls his wrists to wallop a pull over mid-wicket. All he had to do was clear the inner ring and the ball races away to the ropes. This has been one professional chase by the two-time defending champions on a very difficult pitch. Perth Scorchers return to winning ways with a 7-wicket win!

Chris Green [3-0-18-1] will bowl the final over.

Inglis seemed determined to win this game in this over itself, but it was not to be. The Scorchers will have to do so in the final over of the game. Having forced it into the final over, the Thunder will be hoping for a miracle.
