England started off well with the bat as both the openers gave the firepower inside the powerplay. Jason Roy didn't stay long but Tom Banton kept going after the bowling even though he lost his partners at the other end. No one from the top 5 partnered well with Banton that was much needed in the middle overs.
Phil Salt played a fantastic innings but it is disappointing to see he didn't end on a winning note. He tried his best till the end but other batters couldn't support him in the final stages of the innings.
West Indies bowled well in patches and since they managed to pick wickets at regular intervals, they were able to win the match by 20 runs. Kieron Pollard was the pick of the bowlers in West Indies bowling and he changed the fortunes of England by picking two important wickets in the middle overs. Sheldon Cottrell did well at both the stages of the game though he got just one wicket to his name. Romario Shepherd picked 3 wickets but proved to be too expensive in his 4 overs.
With two matches remaining in the series, West Indies will be happy to take the lead of 2-1 and put England under pressure to win both the games in order to win the series. West Indies will back their players and expect to continue their performance just like today to seal the series on Saturday.
Rovman Powell (Player of the match): Yeah, I was told that I am playing today and glad it came off pretty well. I worked on over all improvemnt of my game. I worked on playing wrist spin that tends to come at me at the start of the innigns and that really helpded me today. Adil Rashid is the tricky bowler of all and we wanted to take chances anganst others, which was our plan. Given the short and long side boundaries, we communicated to target our areas and bowlers and happy to see them come off today.
Moeen Ali (England Captain): We did play 3 debutants but credit to West Indies as played well. With the powerful batting line up like them and dimensions of the ground, the conditions were tough while we were bowling. Guys are doing it well and happy to see them perform. Reece Topley is doing well and he had done it in county as well. We feel we got a good side and hopefully bounce back in the upcoming games.
Kieron Pollard (West Indies Captain): It was a good game of cricket. Kudos to Rovman and happy that he grabbed his chance. He's been playing T10 and good that it came off today. We discussed about how we play in the middle overs and decided to bat certain way. We discussed tactics and plans that can help us do better and glad we were able to execute it today. It is important if i could contribute in any way that the team requires and quite happy to do it with the ball this time. It is important to beat a team like England and do the job that can give us the confidence for future.
West Indies won the match by 20 runs but it didn't look that easy for them although they were picking wickets at regular intervals. England kept coming hard at them with their long batting line up and it looked like they might chase it down if any of their top order batter played a deep into the innings.

19.6 Romario Shepherd to Reece Topley, 1 run, fullish ball wide of off stump. Topely can only manage to drive the ball down to long-off for a run. With that West Indies win the game by 20 runs and go 2-1 up in the five-match series.
19.5 Romario Shepherd to Tymal Mills, 1 run, yorker on middle and leg stump. Mills clips the ball behind square on the leg side for a single.
19.4 Romario Shepherd to Reece Topley, 1 run, fuller ball on off stump. Topely hammers the ball down the ground for a single.
Oh, the main man is gone and now it's all done for England. Reece Topley, RHB, comes to the crease.
19.3 Romario Shepherd to Philip Salt, BOLWED'EM! Leg stump yorker. Salt moves to the off side and looks to whack the ball on the leg side. But the England batter misses the ball completely and the ball hits the base of the leg stump.
