Rovman Powell Career
Powell started his career playing for the Combined Campuses in the year 2015. He played his first List A match against Guyana in the Regional Super50 and was named the man of the match with an amazing all round performance in his first match itself. He now plays for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL after he was signed by the franchise for the 2024 season. He represents the West Indies in the ODI and in the T20I format as the captain.
Rovman Powell Domestic Career
Powell's career took place when he made his List A debut at the start of 2015 due to his amazing performance in Regional Super50.
Powell played a vital role in Jamaica's road to the final of the 2016-17 Regional Super50 and was awarded the man of the match in the semi finals against Trinidad and Tobago where he took a fifer and scored 95 runs off just 45 balls.
More than a year later, he got the national call when he was selected for the ODI tri-series in Zimbabwe. Powell was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 30 lakh in the 2017 season of the Indian Premier League but unfortunately, he didn't get the opportunity to showcase his skills.
He was then selected by the Jamaica Tallawahs for the Caribbean Premier League.
Rovman Powell IPL Career
He was acquired by the Kolkata Knight Riders team in February 2017 for the 2017 Indian Premier League. He was picked up by the Delhi Capitals in February 2022 for the 2022 Indian Premier League and retained for the 2023 campaign.
Powell was signed by the Rajasthan Royals for 7.4 crores at the IPL 2024 auction after being released by the Delhi Capitals prior to the 2024 Indian Premier League season. In his 26 IPL games played so far, Rovman Powell has amassed 360 runs at an average of 18.95. Along with smashing a half century, his highest IPL score is 67* runs. Throughout his IPL career, Rovman Powell has hit 28 sixes and 21 fours.

His big hitting abilities did not go unnoticed for long and he was selected to represent West Indies in the 2016 World T20.
He scored just 5 runs of the 5 balls he faced in his T20 International debut against Pakistan in Kensington Oval on 26th March 2017.
Powell made his T20I century in January 2022 against England in the third match. Following their disappointing ICC T20 WC2022 campaign, Powell was appointed captain of the West Indies T20i side in 2023, taking Nicholas Pooran's place. The team won all three of their bilateral series, winning 2-1 against SA, 3-2 against IND, and 3-2 against ENG. In May of 2024, Powell was named captain of the West Indies team for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
