Tristan Stubbs Career
Tristan Stubbs, emerging all-rounder of the South African squad, debuted on the international scene in 2024. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-spin bowler. On June 9, 2022, he played his first T20I match for South Africa against India. June 2022 marked his debut for the South African cricket team in the 50-over format, and in January 2024 he made his debut for the Test team. Stubbs has represented the Delhi Capitals, Warriors, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, Jaffna Kings, Manchester Originals and Mumbai Indians in the domestic circuit.
Tristan Stubbs Domestic Career
On January 16, 2020, Stubbs made his first-class debut for Eastern Province in the CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup for the 2019–20 season where he scored 47 off 93 . In February 2020, he competed for Eastern Province in the 2019–20 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge, making his List A debut. He played his first T20 match for Warriors in the 2020–21 CSA T20 Challenge in February 2021.
Ahead of the South African cricket season of 2021–2022, he was included in the Eastern Province team in April 2021. The youngster finished as the second-highest run scorer in the CSA T20 Challenge 2021-2022, smashing 293 runs in 7 innings with a strike rate of 183.12. In just 31 balls, he scored his highest score of 80*. Stubbs is a Dutch national as well. He signed to play club cricket in the Dutch Topklasse in 2021 with Excelsior '20.
He joined the Jaffna Kings in July 2022 to compete in the third Lanka Premier League season.

Stubbs was signed by the Mumbai Indians to their Indian Premier League (IPL) lineup in May 2022. Tymal Mills was forced to withdraw owing to an injury. He was not a regular in the Mumbai Indians' team throughout his two seasons there, and as a result, he appeared in just a few games. Tristan Stubbs had only participated in four IPL games as of 2024. With a strike rate of 77.14 and a maximum score of 20, he scored 27 runs. Following the 2024 Indian Premier League auction, Stubbs was signed by the Delhi Capitals in December 2023.
Stubbs had a break-through year in the IPL for DC. Stubbs scored 378 runs in 13 innings during the 2024 season for DC, with three half-centuries, at an average of 54.00 and a strike rate of 190.90, his highest score being 71* off 25. Additionally, Stubbs has claimed three wickets with the best figures of 2/11.
