Match summary:
Worcestershire Rapids win by 5 wickets with 3 balls to spare
Brett D'Oliveira 61(47) | Nathan Smith 2/32 (4) Steven Croft 52*(33) | Luke Wells 2/24 (4)
Unlike the first innings, the two openers did well to see off the first three overs - two from Luke Wood and the other from Tom Aspinwall. The opening duo of Brett D'Oliveira and Matthew Waite then cut loose - Waite launched into Jack Blatherwick in the fourth over, throwing him off his lengths, and clobbered 14 off the second half of the first over. Aspinwall then went for three boundaries as D'Oliveira picked his areas nicely.
Mitchell Stanley charged in with sheer pace in the final over of the powerplay, lost his line momentarily but came back to rattle Waite's stumps. Stanley, Luke Wells and Chris Green then proceeded to apply a bit of squeeze - akin to what the Worcs spinners did in the first innings. Josh Cobb succumbed to it, but Adam Hose then came in, took a couple of deliveries, and then went on the attack.
By the time Hose was cleaned up by Wells off a shortish delivery, he ensured a turn in tide with a brisk 9-ball 23 with three sixes. Brett D'Oliveira then took charge, bringing up his half-century with an onslaught of sorts as we headed into the final four overs. D'Oliveira looked set to take the hosts home, but once he picked out Bruce at deep square off Green, Lancashire had a sight at a ray of hope.
While Tom Aspinwall and Luke Wood did their best to force the game to the last over, mixing their lengths and variations up nicely, Lancashire had far too less to defend. A poor bit of fielding from Chris Green off the last ball of the penultimate over further aggravated the visitors' cause, and Taylor smashed the third delivery of the last over down the ground to seal the deal for the Rapids.
19.3 Tom Aspinwall to Tom Taylor, SIX! Tom Taylor has won the game for Worcestershire. On a length around the middle stump channel, Taylor makes some space and launches this downtown clearing the straight boundary. Worcestershire win by 5 wickets.
19.2 Tom Aspinwall to Ed Pollock, fuller-length delivery outside off, driven towards the sweeper cover fielder for a single. 4 needed off 4 balls.
19.1 Tom Aspinwall to Tom Taylor, a full toss a shade outside off, sliced away towards the cover region for a single.
Dear dear! Luke Wood did his best to keep things tight in the penultimate with his lengths, but a terrible error from Chris Green sees the Worcs needing 6 off 6.

18.6 Luke Wood to Ed Pollock, FOUR! Sloppy work by Chris Green at long off allowing the Rapids to find which could turn out to be a massive boundary. Fuller-length a shade outside off, smashed down the ground but was straight to Green who makes a meal of that. Just 6 more required off the final over.
18.5 Luke Wood to Tom Taylor, short from Wood and that has been pulled away by Taylor down towards deep midwicket for a single.
18.4 Luke Wood to Tom Taylor, low full toss on the pads which has been flicked away towards the deep square leg region, has enough time to scamper back for a brace.
