Born and raised in Stockton, California, Nate Diaz is considered one of the realists of the game. He is the younger brother of MMA icon Nick Diaz. Bursting onto the scene as the winner of The Ultimate Fighter 5, Nate has certainly forwarded the Diaz legacy. The American professional mixed martial artist joined the UFC in 2006.

On September 10, 2022, at UFC 279, Nate Diaz faced Tony Ferguson in his final match, completing his contract with the UFC. Diaz won the bout via submission (guillotine choke).
