Early Life and Career
Karen Alexa Grasso Montes was born on August 9, 1993, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
Alexa Grasso's father, Luis Grasso, used to teach her shadow boxing, and her uncle, Fransico Grasso, used to train her in other mixed martial arts forms from a young age. Both the men started a gym, and Alexa Grasso used to help them with the reception and cleaning of the gym.
Grasso soon competed in a national-level jiu-jitsu tournament and won first, and that's when she decided to choose a career in mixed martial arts.
She made her professional debut on December 19, 2012, against Sandra del Rincon and won the fight via knockout in the first round.
Alexa Grasso had a professional record of 5 wins and 0 losses before she got signed up for the Invicta FC in 2014. She fought Ashley Cummins for her Invicta FC debut and won the fight via a unanimous decision.
