Early Life and Career
Viviane Araujo Gomes was born November 21, 1986, in Ceilandia, Brazil. During her childhood, she played soccer and spent most of her time away from home to forget about her problems at home caused by an abusive father.
Araujo discovered Brazilian jiu-jitsu and was invited to join the training under her coach. And later became a coach herself and transitioned into mixed martial arts.
Viviane Araujo made her professional debut on October 11, 2015, and won the fight via submission in the first round.
On August 5, 2018, Araujo won the Pancrase strawweight championship by defeating Emi Fujino via technical knockout. The fight took place at Pancrase 298 in Tokyo, Japan.
