Irene Aldana MMA
Irene Aldana started training in MMA during her college years and made her debut in 2012 against Sandra del Rincon. Aldana KO'ed Rincon in 15-seconds. She went on to compete at Xtreme Kombat 21, where she won against Fior Saenz and Mayra Arce via Knockout.
She next fought her only fight at Jungle Fight for the vacant Jungle Fight Women's Bantamweight Championship against Larissa Pacheco at Jungle Fight 63. She lost the fight in the third round via TKO(punches).
Irene Aldana Invicta FC
Irene Aldana signed with Invicta in 2014 and made her debut against Perry Morgan at Invicta FC 8. She won the fight via first-round rear-naked choke and repeated this performance in her next victory over Colleen Schneider before fighting Tonya Evinger at Invicta FC 13 for the vacant Invicta FC Bantamweight Championship. Irene again came up short at a title fight as she got TKO'ed in the fourth round.
She bounced back from the loss and went on a 2-fight win streak at Invicta against Jessamyn Duke and Faith Van Duin. After the Duin fight, Irene left Invicta and signed with the UFC in 2016.
