Professional Wrestling Career

In 2006, Devlin began his journey to become a professional wrestler. He spent over a decade on the independent circuit and at a young age to train himself. He worked with various promotions and won several championships. Devlin is still actively working in the independent circuit.
WWE (2016-Present)
In 2017, Devlin announced his participation in the United Kingdon tournament. At the event, he was eliminated in the quarterfinals. Next year, Devlin returned for another tournament where he was eliminated after the second round. On NXT UK, he began feuding with Travis Banks. At TakeOver Blackpool, he attacked Banks before the match. During the event, Devlin faced Finn Balor and lost. In 2019, Devlin joined the NXT Cruiserweight division. In 2020, he defeated Angel Garza to win the NXT Cruiserweight Championship. However, Devlin remained the champion for over a year and could not defend it due to the pandemic.
In 2021, Devlin returned to NXT and challenged the interim Cruiserweight Champion Sa ntos Escobar. At TakeOver Stand and Deliver, Escobar defeated Devlin in a ladder match to become the undisputed Cruiserweight Champion. Devlin returned to NXT UK, where he began feuding with the NXT UK Champion Ilja Dragunov.
He failed to defeat the champion but failed to capture the title. At the 200th episode of NXT UK, the two stars battled it out in a "Loser Leaves Town" match, which Devlin lost and he was thus forced to quit NXT UK. On the June 21 episode of NXT, vignettes started airing for a wrestler named JD McDonagh. It was soon revealed that this superstar was no one other than Jordan Devlin, who had now been rebranded. The rest of the year saw McDonagh challenge for the NXT Championship against Bron Breakker on a couple of occasions but he failed to capture the gold. Following a run full of ups and downs, McDonagh was drafted to Monday Night RAW during the 2023 WWE Draft. He was featured in a few backstage segments with Finn Balor before being taken out of the programming. The star returned to the Monday Nights on the August 7 episode. He then helped The Judgment Day in one of their fights, seemingly wanting to join the faction.
He helped Priest and Balor at Payback to help them win their first Tag Team Championship. While he wanted to join into the group, McDonagh was kept at a distance by Priest. However, it did not stop him from helping out the Day whenever it needed. To further impress Priest, McDonagh gave him a customized Money in the Bank briefcase. On the November 13 episode of Monday Night RAW, he was elevated from an associate of the group to an official member. He was admitted into the group by Priest himself. The same night, former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre joined the group as well. At present, McDonagh, McIntyre, Priest, Balor and Mysterio are set to face Team Rhodes (Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, and Randy Orton) at Survivor Series: WarGames.
