The Judgement Day is a professional wrestling stable that performs on WWE on the RAW brand and consists of Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, Carlito, and Liv Morgan. The faction currently holds the World Tag Team Championship (Finn Balor and JD McDonagh) and the Women's World Championship (Liv Morgan). The team was founded by its first leader Edge before he was kicked out by his followers. The other two initial members Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley were kicked out of the group in 2024.

History in WWE

Formation Under Edge

"Edge brings Judgment Day to the feet of AJ Styles: Raw, May 2, 2022"

WWE Hall of Famer Edge faced AJ Styles at WrestleMania 38. Towards the end of a closely contested bout, Styles was distracted by Damian Priest who was staring him from the ringside. A disturbed Styles failed to connect his move with Edge and lost the match. The next week, Edge announced the formation of a new group what they had named The Judgment Day. At WrestleMania Backlash, Edge and AJ Styles contested a rematch. This time, Edge was helped by someone else, who revealed herself to be Rhea Ripley.

The group had now become a trio. AJ Styles, Finn Balor and Liv Morgan were the group's primary foes during their early days. At Hell in a Cell, the two teams collided in a Six Person Tag Team Match, which the Judgment Day won. The next night, Finn Balor jumped ships and was announced as the newest member of The Judgment Day. However, in a shocking turn of events, Balor, Ripley and Priest attacked their leader Edge, kicking him out of the group.

The New Judgment Day

Next, The new Judgment Day picked up a feud with Dominik and Rey Mysterio in hopes that the younger Mysterio could join their faction. At SummerSlam 2022, The Mysterios defeated Priest and Balor with the help of a returning Edge who wanted to exact revenge on his former stablemates. A tag team match was booked for Clash at the Castle where Edge and Rey Mysterio defeated The Judgment Day. Following the match, Dominick Mysterio, who was already frustrated with Edge joining his team, snapped and attacked the Rated-R Superstar. His father calmed him down for a bit before Dominik gave him a clothesline. The latter then officially joined The Judgment Day the following episode of RAW.

Finn Balor then took on the former leader Edge at Extreme Rules in an "I Quit" match where Edge was forced to quit after Ripley attacked her wife Beth Phoenix. The Judgment Day, then feuded with The O.C. At Survivor Series, Balor lost to AJ Styles and Team Ripley lost to Team Belair. However, they ended the feud the next night after they defeated The O.C. in an eight-person tag team match.

At Royal Rumble 2023, Priest and Balor were eliminated by Edge while Dominik eliminated Edge and was thrown out by Cody Rhodes. While the males of the group did not perform well at the event, Rhea Ripley won the match by last eliminating Liv Morgan. She became the first female to win the Rumble by entering number 1 and also set the record for the most time spent by a female superstar in the Royal Rumble match. She eventually won the SmackDown Women's Championship at WrestleMania 39 by defeating Charlotte Flair.

The Gold Judgment Day

At the same event, Dominik Mysterio lost to his father Rey Mysterio. Also, Demon King Finn Balor lost to Edge in a Hell in a Cell match at the event. Their feud with Rey Mysterio and his new Latino World Order continued after the event. LWO's latest recruit and Damian Priest's former friend Bad Bunny got into a fight with Dominik Mysterio, prompting Priest to step in. This led to a San Juan Street Fight between Priest and Bunny at Backlash, which Priest lost.

During the next few months, Balor lost to Seth Rollins in the tournament for the inaugural World Heavyweight Championship and then failed to win the title in a couple more attempts. Damian Priest won the Money in the Bank briefcase at the eponymous event. Dominik Mysterio defeated Wes Lee at NXT to become the NXT North American Champion. At Payback 2023, Rhea Ripley defeated Raquel Rodriguez to retain her title. Further, Finn Balor and Damian Priest became the new Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions after defeating Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens bringing another title to the group. They lost the title to Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso at Fastlane 2023 before winning it back just nine days later.

The champions defended their gold against Rhodes and Uso on the November 13, 2023 episode of RAW. Other members of the Judgment Day were banned from the ringside. However, a new star came to their aid this time, joining the Judgment Day. Drew McIntyre gave a claymore to Uso, officially aiding the group. At Survivor Series WarGames, McIntyre, Balor, Priest, McDonagh, and Mysterio lost to Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn and Randy Orton inside the WarGames match.

Losing Two Titles (2023-2024)

At NXT Deadline, Mysterio lost his NXT North American Championship to Dragon Lee. The next few weeks saw R-Truth trying to join the group but all members of the group was against him joining the faction. A bitter-sweet feud ensued between Judgment Day and The Awesome Truth (Miz and R-Truth). The latter were then also assisted by DIY (Tomasso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano). At Royal Rumble, none of the members of the group was able to last the longest inside the match.

At WrestleMania XL Night One, The Judgment Day defended its Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship in a Six-Pack Ladder match where A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory and Grayson Waller) retrieved the SmackDown Tag Team Championship while the Awesome Truth (Miz and R-Truth) won the RAW Tag Team Championship. This meant that the faction had lost both the titles on the same night. However, Rhea Ripley retained her Women's World Championship against Becky Lynch. Dominik Mysterio teamed up with Santos Escobar on the same night to take on Andrade and Rey Mysterio in a losing effort.

Damian Priest Cashes in & Rhea Ripley gets injured

On WrestleMania XL Night Two, Damain Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Drew McIntyre and became the World Heavyweight Champion. Following WrestleMania XL, Rhea Ripley got injured at the hands of Liv Morgan and was forced to vacate her title. Around the same time, Liv Morgan started teasing Dominik Mysterio as a part of taking everything away from Rhea Ripley. On the other hand, Carlito started hanging around with the group and became an associate member. On the June 21, 2024, episode of RAW, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh became the new WWE RAW Tag Team Champions.

Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley betrayed by the Judgment Day (2024 - Present)

Rhea Ripley made her return to WWE in July and targeted Liv Morgan. She soon earned herself a match against Morgan for her Women's World Championship. On the same event, Damian Priest was booked to defend his title against the King of the Ring Gunther. At SummerSlam, Dominik Mysterio turned on Rhea Ripley and helped Liv Morgan retain the title, effectively kicking Ripley out of the group and Morgan joining The Judgment Day. On the same night, Finn Balor betrayed Damian Priest and made him lose his title, kicking Priest out of the group as well. From the following night, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley joined hands to take on The Bloodline.

Finn Balor

There are not many superstars who know how to run a faction. Finn Balor founded and led The Bullet Club outside WWE and has also acted as a leader figure in The Judgment Day. He joined the group under Edge's reign but was kicked him out of the group the same day he joined. With the faction, he has won the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship twice with Damian Priest and the World Tag Team Championship once with JD McDonagh.

Dominik Mysterio

Dominik Mysterio or Dirty Dominik Mysterio was a foe to The Judgment Day before he betrayed his father to join the group. He has since considered Judgment Day as his only family. With the faction, Mysterio has won the NXT North American Championship twice.

JD McDonagh

JD McDonagh was not an official member of The Judgment Day in the beginning. Since the August 14, 2023 episode of RAW, he has started to hang around with the group, and has tried to always help them in their matches. Carlito

After WrestleMania XL, Carlito started hanging around with the members of the Judgment Day and ultimately became an associate member.
