WWE NXT (2020-Present)
NXT Tag Team Champion and Longest North American Champion (2020-2023)
Aikens signed a contract with WWE in December 2020 under NXT. He and Wentz, both made their debut in WWE in the January of 2021. Aikens was renamed to Wes Lee while Zachary Wentz was renamed to Nash Carter. Their team was called MSK. They made their debuts in the Men's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament and managed to win it in the first go. Their rookie year would go on to be highlighted by another landmark victory when they defeated The Grizzled Young Veterans and Legado Del Fantasma at NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver to grab the vacant NXT Tag Team Championships.
The duo would go on to defend their titles numerous times over the next few months before losing it to The Imperium at NXT: Halloween Havoc. However, their defeat was short-lived as they would go on to reclaim the belts at NXT: Stand and Deliver, the event they won titles a year ago as well. Carter was then released by WWE in April 2022 over domestic abuse allegations. As a result, MSK was disbanded and Lee lost the tag team titles. Lee then went on a solo rampage, eventually getting a shot at the vacant NXT North American Championship at NXT Halloween Havoc in a five-man ladder match.
Lee managed to win the match and won the title. Lee is scheduled to defend his gold against Tyler Bate and Joe Gacy in a Triple Threat Match at NXT Battleground. At NXT Battleground, Lee held the NXT North American Title. With this win, he became the longest-defending champ with a record 269-day, surpassing Velveteen Dream. However, Lee lost the title to Dominik Mysterio after interference from The Judgment Day. Lee failed to regain the title at NXT The Great American Bash in a triple-threat match. He then became the main competitor for the NXT Title however lost to Carmelo Hayes at NXT Heatwave and Ilja Dragunov in a number one competitor match. Lee returned to face Mysterio, winning a fatal-four-way match for a title opportunity at NXT Deadline. However, because of a serious back injury, Lee pulled out from the match and was out for several months.
Heel Turn and mini-reunion with The Rascalz (2024–present)
Wes Lee made a surprise return from injury at Spring Breakin' in 2024. He faced NXT North American Champion Oba Femi. After winning his first match, a triple threat match was set for NXT Battleground where Femi retained his title against Lee and Joe Coffey. Lee then requested a rematch yet lost again to Femi at NXT Heatwave under the limitation that he could never again challenge Femi for the title. Following this, Lee rejoined with his Rascalz beginning around 2020. He later turned on them after failing to win the NXT Tag Team championships, denoting his first heel turn.
Lee's betrayal of The Rascalz prompted a feud with Wentz, which finished with a loss at NXT No Mercy. However, Lee defeated Wentz in a Street Fight on the NXT CW premiere to end their rivalry. Lee later competed in a triple threat number one competitor's match for the NXT Title at Halloween Havoc but faced defeat.
