Frances Tiafoe is a professional tennis player from America, who was born on January 20, 1998, in Hyattsville, Maryland, United States. Tiafoe first came to the spotlight after reaching the semifinal of the US Open in 2022. He also made the quarterfinal of the Australian Open, in 2019. He is ranked No. 30 in singles as of June 2024. He achieved his career-high singles ranking of No. 10 in June 2023.

Tiafoe started playing tennis at the age of three, with his twin brother Franklin. As a kid, he was trained at the Junior Tennis Champions Centre in College Park, MD, USA. His childhood idol was Juan Martin del Potro, and his favorite tournament is the ATP Masters 1000 Indian Wells. He won the Arthur Ashe Humanitarian Award in 2020.

Frances Tiafoe has won three ATP singles titles in his career so far, including the 2018 Delray Beach Open, the 2023 Boss Open, and the 2023 U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships.

Tiafoe's first ATP singles title came at the Delray Beach Open in 2018, where he entered the tournament as a wildcard, and won the title. He defeated Peter Gojowczyk in the final. With the victory, he became the first wildcard entry to win the Delray Beach Open tournament and also became the youngest American male player to win the ATP title since Andy Roddick in 2002.

Tiafoe's second ATP singles title came at the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships in 2023. He defeated Tomás Martín Etcheverry in the final, to claim his second ATP singles title. With the victory, he moved up to world No. 11 on April 10, 2023.

Tiafoe's third ATP singles title came at the Stuttgart Open in 2023, where he defeated players like Jiri Lehecka, Lorenzo Musetti, and Marton Fucsovics to reach the final. In the final, Tiafoe defeated Jan-Lennard Struff after saving a championship point in the final-set tiebreak. With the victory, he entered the top 10 for the first time.
